(LILAMAX)- A new savings account program for children will launch on July 4. Known as a 530A or “Trump Account,” the program is available to eligible children under 18 with a Social Security number. Participants will receive a $1,000 government contribution to start the account and can make additional contributions each year. More information is available at TrumpAccounts.gov.

Walmart is investing in its workforce by launching a new training program that prepares frontline employees to become licensed opticians. The two-year program includes hands-on training, coaching, certifications and a degree in optician science. Walmart says employees could nearly double their pay after completing the program while avoiding certification costs that can exceed $20,000.

On Wall Street, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at another record high, capping its strongest first half of the year since 2021.

New government data also showed the U.S. labor market remained resilient in May, with 7.6 million job openings—more than economists expected. Hiring demand increased in construction, wholesale trade and leisure industries, while openings declined in healthcare and fell for a second straight month in finance.

Meanwhile, Cars.com released its latest list of the most affordable American-made vehicles priced under $35,000. The Toyota Corolla LE ranked as the least expensive model at $24,200, while the Honda Civic LX came in second. Toyota placed four vehicles in the top 10 rankings.
