MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Wednesday will see mostly sunny skies and near average temperatures around Middle Georgia.

Middle Georgia has gotten hot this afternoon with highs reaching the upper 80s and lower 90s under mostly sunny skies. Scattered cumulus clouds from the afternoon will clear in the evening hours as mostly clear skies are expected overnight. Low temperatures will be in the lower 60s around the region, or slightly below average for this time of year. Winds will back off from the afternoon but remain out of the northwest at about 5-10 mph.

It will be around average temperature wise Wednesday for Middle Georgia as highs largely reach the upper 80s. Winds will again be slightly breezy from the northwest at about 5-12 mph, gusting as high as 18 mph. Skies will be mostly sunny, and rain is not expected.

Overnight scattered clouds are likely as temperatures fall a bit below average into the lower 60s. A couple of locations could see lows get into the upper 50s. Ambient wind will be out of the north at around 5 mph.

Thursday will be slightly cooler with highs in the mid 80s and a chance for a few isolated afternoon storms. Friday will see mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 80s before more rain odds return over the weekend with some added cloud cover.
