More clouds and storms Friday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A stalled out cold front will bring even more clouds and rain to Middle Georgia to end the week.
This Evening
Scattered storms are likely through the suppertime hours and into tonight around Middle Georgia. Skies outside of those storms should be partly cloudy. While severe weather is not expected, storms will bring frequent cloud to ground lightning with the possibility of a few strong winds gusts or small hail. Overnight low temperatures will be in the lower 70s with wind out of the west-southwest around 5 mph.
Tomorrow
Friday will be mostly cloudy with temperatures peaking in the afternoon in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Heat indexes will likely still push into the upper 90s ahead of storms in the afternoon. Most of the region will see rain between the lunchtime hours and midnight, however rain activity should taper off a good bit after sunset.
Overnight expect mostly cloudy skies with the possibility for fog around the region. Low temperatures will be mainly in the lower 70s, however a couple of upper 60s cant be ruled out. Wind will remain gentle from the southwest.
