Moped rider dies after collision in Warner Robins, police investigating

The Warner Robins Police Department is investigating a deadly crash involving a moped.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (WMGT-DT) – A Warner Robins man has died after a collision involving a moped and another vehicle Tuesday evening.

Officers were called to the scene after reports of a collision, where the moped operator was found with serious injuries and taken to the hospital by EMS. Police say the moped was traveling west on Tabor Drive before entering the parking lot of 700 North Davis Drive and continuing through it. As the rider exited the lot and entered the roadway, a vehicle traveling north on North Davis Drive was unable to avoid a collision.

Investigators later confirmed the moped rider died from injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the vehicle was not reported injured.
