Montrose man who shot and burned Macon man is sentenced to life in prison

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Montrose man who shot a Macon man in 2015 was sentenced to life in prison on Monday. This comes from a news release from District Attorney David Cooke’s Office.
Torrance Deon Rouse, 23, pleaded guilty to malice murder in Bibb County Superior Court. Rouse may be eligible for parole after 30 years.
On Dec. 22, 2015, Deleon Wiley Hudson was found in a burning SUV on Lakeshore Drive. Bibb deputies say 43-year-old’s body was set on fire in a brown 2002 Nissan Xterra after being fatally shot by Rouse.
Cooke says, “Mr. Rouse should spend each Christmas remembering Mr. Hudson and what his terrible choice did to Hudson’s family. I hope in time that their fond memories replace those from this horrible, senseless crime.”
