MONTEZUMA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating two arsons at vacant homes in Montezuma, and a $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.

According to a Facebook post from the Montezuma Police Department, two houses near each other, located at 631 Majestic Lane and 632 Lancing Lane, were found to have been set on fire at an earlier date. The post said the fires caused significant damage to the interiors but did not destroy the structures, so the fires went unnoticed until the property owner later visited.

A $10,000 reward is available for information that helps identify and arrest those responsible.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Georgia Arson Hotline at 1-800-282-5804. Tips remain confidential, according to the post.
