Deputies arrest 22-year-old in Monroe County GDOT burglary case
Deputies say equipment was moved and the building forcibly entered at a GDOT facility in Forsyth.

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A 22-year-old man is facing burglary charges after deputies say a Georgia Department of Transportation facility in Monroe County was broken into over the weekend.
According to a Monroe County Sheriff’s Office news release, deputies responded around 6:40 p.m. Sunday to a reported burglary at a GDOT facility off Cabiness Drive.
The sheriff’s office says a complainant driving past the facility noticed the front gate was open and equipment had been moved outside the shop. The complainant told deputies no employees were scheduled to be at the location at the time.
Deputies say the complainant returned to the facility to check on the property and discovered the building had been forcibly entered, with equipment inside the shop missing or displaced.
During the preliminary investigation, deputies located information at the scene belonging to a previously arrested individual. Based on that evidence, investigators identified the suspect as Kenyatta McCloud of Boston, Georgia.
McCloud has been charged with burglary in the second degree and is being held in the Monroe County Jail without bond.
