UPDATE: 73-year-old Monroe County woman wanted for identity fraud now in custody
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a 73-year-old woman wanted in connection with an identity fraud case in Monroe County.

UPDATE (7/17/25): Roxie Elaine Watson has been arrested, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say she is being held in the Monroe County Jail without bond. Online jail records show she is charged with identity theft fraud.

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a 73-year-old woman wanted in connection with an identity fraud case.
According to a release from the sheriff’s office, Roxie Elaine Watson was last known to live on Houze Road in Crawford County. Deputies says she’s about 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 145 pounds. Her photo is attached.
The sheriff’s office encourages anyone with information about Watson’s location or details related to the case to contact deputies at (478) 994-7010 or reach out directly to Investigator Marc Mansfield at (478) 994-7043 ext. 209.
“You may also contact us through Facebook, Instagram or the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office App, where you may remain anonymous,” the release stated.
