Deputies: Monroe County child hospitalized after being pinned between two vehicles
Deputies say the 3-year-old was flown to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

MONROE COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A 3-year-old boy was injured Wednesday afternoon after being pinned between two vehicles in Monroe County, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say they responded around 4:10 p.m. to a home in the Shady Road area.
According to the sheriff’s office, the child’s father was working on a vehicle when the child’s mother tried to start it. Deputies say the vehicle had a manual transmission and reportedly lurched forward, pinning the child between two vehicles.
The child was flown to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta for treatment. There’s no update on the child’s injuries.
