Two suspects arrested in Monroe County burglary; stolen property recovered

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a burglary that happened on Wednesday at a home off Lakeshore Drive.

According to a Monroe County Sheriff’s Office news release, deputies responded after the victim reported a shed had been broken into. Three dirt bikes, a four-wheeler and a pressure washer were taken.

Upon further investigation, which included the use of the Flock camera system, authorities identified suspects located in the Forest Park, Georgia area. Dylan Turner of Jackson and Jeffery Pope of Hogansville were arrested for burglary. Pope also has outstanding warrants from Troup County and Coweta County.

All the stolen property has been recovered.

Both men are being held without bond at the Monroe County Jail.
