Monroe County Sheriff’s Office arrests Forsyth man after burglary investigation
James Hickman faces multiple charges

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man on Thursday following a burglary investigation at the county’s old water treatment facility.
According to a Monroe County Sheriff’s Office news release, James Hickman was taken into custody on Thursday.
Investigators were dispatched to the facility off Boxankle Road on Tuesday in response to a reported burglary in progress. When they arrived, they say Hickman ran.
He was taken into custody Thursday afternoon after deputies served an arrest warrant at his home. Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Anna Watkins says Hickman is accused of stealing metal piping.
He’s charged with burglary in the second degree, theft by taking (felony) and obstruction of an officer and is being held without bond in the Monroe County Jail.
