Monroe Co. Officials re-branding their community with help from residents
FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Officials in Monroe County are trying to rebrand and using feedback from residents to do it.
“We have so many wonderful things going on here,” said Cheri Lance with the Chamber of Commerce.
They say branding is key to moving Monroe County forward.
“That’s part of the survey to find out what that is that brings them to the community, what they’re proud of about the community and something we can use that to bring more people to the community,” said city administrator Janice Hall.
That’s why they’re asking people living in the county to tell them what stands out about the county they live in.
“The public safety capital of Georgia, the Forsythia Festival, the downtown businesses, Main Street events. ”
Members of the Monroe County Movers and Shakers just launched their re-branding campaign which includes a survey for residents.
“Either why would you move here or what would be the reason you’d tell somebody this is the reason you should move to Forsyth and Monroe County.”
Asking questions ranging from how they show community pride to which aspects of the community are most unique.
“We just want to know how it can combine our efforts and have one unified front to promote our community.”
In just a few minutes, you can share your input and help them find the key to putting Monroe County on the map.
“We’ve given them some things to choose from to help us come up with one.”
If you live in Monroe County and want to participate, you have until December 21st to fill out that survey. Here’s the link.
