Mississippi Braves announce move to Georgia after 2024 season
End of an Era: M-Braves to commemorate 20th season in Pearl before Georgia relocation

COLUMBUS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Mississippi Braves, the Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, announced Tuesday the upcoming 2024 season will be their last in Pearl, Mississippi, before relocating to Columbus, Georgia starting with the 2025 season.
In a message to fans, shared on Facebook, the team expressed gratitude for nearly two decades of support from the Pearl community and the entire state of Mississippi.
The team has called Trustmark Park home for the past 19 years. The M-Braves are set to mark their 20th season in Mississippi with a full 69-game home schedule for 2024, starting April 9 against Biloxi.
“While we are moving to a new home, our commitment to our fans remains steadfast,” the team’s post said. It went on to tell fans it remains hopeful about the future of professional baseball in Pearl and pledged support for efforts to bring another team to Trustmark Park.
