Twiggs deputies searching for missing 73-year-old woman

COCHRAN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding a missing 73-year-old woman last seen Wednesday night in Cochran.

The sheriff’s office shared a missing person alert Thursday.

According to the alert, the woman was last seen around 9 p.m. in the 3900 block of Long Street Road.

The sheriff’s office did not release her name in the alert. 41NBC has reached out to the sheriff’s office to ask whether her name is being released.

She is described as a 73-year-old woman who was last seen wearing plaid pajama pants and a blue shirt.

The sheriff’s office says she is believed to be traveling on foot.

Deputies with the Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Georgia State Patrol, Georgia Department of Natural Resources and K-9 teams, are searching the area.
