Miller-Motte Technical College now accepting students

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Miller-Motte Technical College is now accepting students to enroll in classes for their upcoming quarter, which begins July13th.

The college, located at 175 Tom Hill Sr. Boulevard in Macon, held an open house Wednesday afternoon in hopes of showcasing the school and the education programs they offer.

Bill Caswell, the campus’ director, said the purpose of the open house was to, “… let people who may not know we are here aware, invite them in to have an opportunity to have a look at the different programs.”

Some of the programs that are offered at the school include medical assisting, medical billing and coding, business management, and cosmetology.

Caswell notes he sees students from all walks of life come through the door.

“We have some students who graduate high school and then come to see us immediately following, others are career changers that are saying… I’ve been in a dead end job for a long time and now I’m looking for something different, so they come for a career change,” Caswell said.

While classes begin next month, Caswell says they will be accepting enrollment right up until the day before the quarter begins.

If you can’t attend the upcoming quarter, Miller-Motte will also soon accept applications for their quarters that begin in October, January, and April. Each quarter lasts 12 weeks.
