MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Milledgeville police are looking for a man officers consider armed and extremely dangerous.

According to Maj. Reggie Hill, 26-year-old Christopher Jessie Brown, also known as CJ, went on a crime spree over the last couple of weeks.

On April 24, investigators say Brown went to the Jiffy Lube and pulled out a handgun. He ran away before law enforcement arrived. The police department took out warrants charging Brown with terroristic threats and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

On May 1, officers say Brown went into the Shrimp Boat on South Elbert Street and threatened to take his own life after an employee refused to give Brown her vehicle. He was gone by the time the police department arrived at the restaurant.

About 15 minutes later, Hill says Brown stole a vehicle that was driving on South Warren Street. The driver of the car was able to get away without being harmed.

A state wide alert was issued for the stolen vehicle and for Brown. In this incident, Brown is facing charges of armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and high-jacking of a motor vehicle.

The Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Brown. Investigators found the stolen vehicle on Stembridge Road, but they did not find Brown.
