Milledgeville Police investigating two deaths on Roberts Street

The Milledgeville Police Department is investigating the deaths of two people found Thursday morning at a home on Roberts Street.

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Milledgeville Police Department is investigating the deaths of two people found Thursday morning at a home on Roberts Street.

Around 9:25 a.m., officers responded to a welfare check call at a home in the 200 block of Roberts Street and discovered one person deceased in the living room and another in the hallway. The cause of death for both people is currently unknown, according to a Milledgeville Police Department news release posted on the department’s Facebook page.

The scene is being processed by detectives, and the deceased individuals will be transported to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) crime lab for further examination.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
