Milledgeville Police investigate sexual assault report from Georgia College student

Milledgeville, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Milledgeville Police Department is investigating a sexual assault report from a Georgia College student.

It happened at College Station, an off-campus apartment complex. The incident report says the victim allowed the two suspects to come into her room. The victim told investigators the two men, who graduated from college last year, gave her a ride home and then asked to stay the night. She let them stay the night. According to the report while in bed, the two men raped her.

Georgia College students said the assault is scary, but they feel safe knowing what resources are available.

“We were actually told at orientation by one of the police officers down here that they have an app and if we’re at a party or anywhere we don’t want to be, we call them. They don’t ask any questions. They just come pick you up and take you where you need to be,” said Georgia College freshman Addison Grice.

To stay safe, students said they’re walking in groups, especially if they’re in an unfamiliar area. To see the resources offered at Georgia College click here
