MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Families looking to enjoy the playground at Milledgeville’s Central City Park during the next few months will need to look elsewhere as the city replaces equipment.
Playground equipment will be replaced during the months of March and April, the city announced in a news release on Friday.
The city’s Public Works Department will begin demolition of the current playground and exercise equipment on Saturday, February 10, and demolition will continue throughout the month of February and “possibly into March.” The new playground installation process is expected to begin in late March and last until “early to mid-April.”
“Park patrons should not enter the demolition or installation areas throughout the duration of the project,” the release said. “All other areas of the park will be open for normal use.”
Central City Park is located at 720 W Hancock Street. For a list of other Milledgeville parks, click here.
