Milledgeville Marine recruit reunited with family after months of military training

BEAUFORT, S.C. (41NBC/WMGT) – Marine recruit Jordan Harrison from Milledgeville endured 12 weeks of intense military training, and for the first time in months he was able to see his loved ones face-to-face at Family Day.

41NBC: How is it seeing you family for the first time in a long time?

“It’s good. I’m trying to fight back the tears now, trying to keep my bearings, but it’s good now,” says Harrison.

For several months, Harrison, along with other recruits went through three phases of physical, mental and moral training.

Harrison says after all he’s learned discipline has been instilled by his drill instructors the most.

His aunt, and family friends were there for support.

“We saw the hard work and the many hours he studied, and the dedication. Hdde really wanted this,” Harrison’s aunt says, “We’re so proud of him.”
