Milledgeville Ethics Complaint Update

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Tuesday night Milledgeville resident Melba Burrell addressed the council about the ethics complaint filed by her and other Milledgeville residents.

Multiple ethics complaints were filed against all of the city council members.

The council has to appoint a investigative committee on the complaints.

Burrell tells us that there has not been any progress in appointing a committee to address the ethics complaint and hopes the committee will chose a fair and non-bias committee.

“Make the decision of the appointment committee by an independent source.” said Burrell.

Council members listened to Burrell’s complaints, but did not rule on this matter.
