Milledgeville Burglary

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Milledgeville Police Department is investigating a string of burglaries that recently happened in the area.

Major Reggie Hill says there may be something in common with all three incidents.

The department is currently investigating three burglaries where people took rocks, and threw them into the glass shattering the front door to get inside after hours.

They hit stores on North Columbia Street, including this Jet Food Store, CT Nails and Spa, and Great Wall Restaurant.

Hill says in two of the three break-ins thieves stole what good samaritans dropped off at the front counter.

In both instances, where they collect money at the register for different reasons, they were actually going in and stealing those containers that contain donations from the public.”

This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Milledgeville Police Department at (478) 414-4000.
