Middle Georgia runoff results: Reeves wins Fort Valley mayoral race
Voters in three Middle Georgia cities decided mayoral and council races in Tuesday’s runoffs.

MIDDLE GEORGIA (41NBC/WMGT) – Voters settled three races in Tuesday’s runoff elections, electing a new mayor in Fort Valley and filling city council seats in Vienna and Milledgeville.
Shakeena Reeves won the Fort Valley mayoral runoff with 445 votes, or 60.71 percent. Jeffery Lundy received 288 votes, or 39.29 percent. Reeves and Lundy advanced from the November 4 election, where Reeves earned 318 votes and Lundy received 222.
Milledgeville voters elected Arlene Simmons to the District 2 City Council seat. Simmons received 77 votes, or 77.78 percent in the runoff. Brooks Snider received 22 votes, or 22.22 percent. Simmons topped the November 4 race with 108 votes, followed by Snider with 56.
In Vienna, Babette L. Lewis won the city council runoff with 173 votes, or 60.49 percent. Walter F. Brown received 113 votes, or 39.51 percent. Lewis and Brown moved forward after finishing as the top two candidates in the November 4 election, where Brown received 135 votes and Lewis received 120.
