Middle Georgia law enforcement remember fallen officers

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Officers from Warner Robins and other Middle Georgia law enforcement agencies attended a candlelight vigil to honor those who’ve died in the line of duty.

This event is in honor of national police week.

“It’s so important that they know, recognize, and understand that they are appreciated,” said Brett Evans, Warner Robins Police Chief.

“You know, there is so much negativity in things associated with law enforcement, and so for us to be able to put them in a positive light any time we possibly can is a really good push for us.”

Candles were lit in front of pictures of eight officers and two K-9s who died the past year in Georgia.
