Mid-term election polls open across Middle Georgia

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Polls have opened throughout Middle Georgia and across the country for Election Day 2014.

Big elections in Georgia include Saxby Chambliss’ U.S. Senate seat, as well as Georgia governor.

Republican David Perdue, Democrat Michelle Nunn and Libertarian Amanda Swafford are running for Senate.

Democrat Jason Carter and incumbent Republican Nathan Deal are running for governor.

Polls have been tight for the Senate race, with a runoff possibly looming.

Many polls have Nathan Deal winning the governor’s race.
