Michelle Nunn and David Perdue stress the importance of voter registration

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Michelle Nunn and David Perdue want to make sure everyone is voting in November.

Nunn met with volunteers in grassroots outreach in Macon before heading out to knock on doors and talk with Georgians on Saturday.

“We have one month before registration for voting ends and so, we just want to remind everybody that this is their opportunity to have their voice heard and to really participate in our democracy,” said Nunn.

That same day, David Perdue met with his supporters in Perry to replenish their campaign tools.

Perdue is also stressing the importance of people registering to vote.

“It’s absolutely critical. I mean, this is a democracy and  we need to get everyone, who is of age, to get out and register to vote. That’s our process and the more people that do it, the better it is for everybody,” explained Perdue.

Nunn and Perdue will face off in the upcoming November election.
