MGSU partners with Macon-Bibb Industrial Authority to expand its flight program

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Middle Georgia State University will be expanding its flight programs after an agreement with Macon-Bibb.

The Macon-Bibb Industrial Authority will be allowing the university to use classrooms and hangar space at the newly renovated airport in east Macon for a monthly fee.

The school will be also using the space to manage a fixed base operation and fuel farm. Classes in flight training and ground school will be offered.

University president Christopher Blake says, “New life and new energy is going to come to this airport.”

All parties involved in the agreement say the new move is a win-win for everyone.
