MGSC Men’s Basketball Beats Brewton Parker JV.. Again

COCHRAN, Georgia (MGSC RELEASE)  – The Knights men’s basketball team moved to 3-4 on the season with their second win in 10 days against Brewton Parker’s JV team.

The Knights fell behind early 5-3 but then went back up 6-5 on a 3 by Ryan Wilkins and never trailed again. The Knights stretched their lead to as much as 14 in the first half but the Barons fought back to make it a 5 point game at half 36-31.

The second half saw the Knights come back out and open up the lead to 10 a couple of times while the Barons moved it back to as close to 3 before the Knights opened up to a 13 point lead late and held the rest of the way never leading by less than 11 in the last 8 minutes.

The Knights were led in scoring by Ryan Wilkins (Savannah, GA) with 14 including 4-7 from 3. The Knights had 4 others in double figures on the night. Javaris Hooks (Americus, GA) 12 points and 9 assists, Brandon Ingleton (Woodstock, GA) had 11 points and 3 rebounds, Roshaun Milline (Milledgeville, GA) 11 points and 3 rebounds, and Jalen Lewis (Lithonia, GA) with 11 points.

The Knights next game is a conference matchup on Friday the 22nd at 7:30 at Chattahoochee Tech in Smyrna, GA before they take a break for the Thanksgiving holidays and return to action the first week of December.
