MGSC Knights Women Have Winning Streak Snapped by Darton 73-53

(MGSC RELEASE) – Each team scored on their first possession with the Cavaliers striking first and then the Knights but the Cavaliers kept putting the baskets in and the Knights fell behind early. The Knights were down by 11 early on and fought back to cut the lead to 26-25 in the first half before the Cavaliers took the lead back to 18 early in the second half. The Knights made another run to cut the lead to 3 but that was as close as it would get as Darton defeated the Knights 73-53. The Knights were plagued with 28 turnovers which was their most of the season as well as a lot of missed free throws.

The Knights were led by Va’Queshia Hall with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 blocks while Tascianna Taylor added 12 and 6 rebounds. Jada Haynes led the team with 5 assists while Kerregan Poe-Cochran had 4 assists.
