Methodist Home Celebration Day includes snow slide

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Nearly 400 people attended the 25th annual Celebration Day Saturday at the Methodist Home.

The event featured several items for sale, including jewelry, scarves and arts and crafts. There were carnival games, and for the first time ever, a snow slide.

“I’m with the men’s organization that helped supply some of the barbecue stew that was served today,” says William Reynolds. “And we just like to come to participate in the Celebration Day and to help out with the Methodist Children’s home.”

The home houses nearly 80 children. Money raised during the event will be used for summer camps, trips and after school activities.
