Investigators at the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office received a tip on possible stolen vehicles. When they arrived at 5100 Newberry Road in Lizella, they discovered the fresh remains of a working Meth lab.
41-year-old Darren Keith Newberry had a Meth lab behind his house, near a shed. He was arrested on Wednesday and charged with trafficking drugs, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and probation violation.
Investigators also seized seven rifles, five shotguns and six handguns.
Bibb County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy David Davis says, “They found the person who lived on that property, found out that he was a convicted felon and had all of these weapons.”
