Mercer women to face Georgia Tech in WNIT first round

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Mercer University women’s basketball team will face Georgia Tech in the opening round of the WNIT.

The game will be played Thursday at McCamish Pavilion in Atlanta at a time to be determined.

The Bears (24-8) earned an automatic bid to the tournament after winning a share of the Southern Conference regular season title. The Yellow Jackets (19-12) earned an at-large bid after falling to Louisville in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals.
