Mercer chapter of Habitat For Humanity raises money at luncheon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Mercer Habitat for Humanity chapter has an opportunity to help people in a local neighborhood.

Students hosted a luncheon for faculty Wednesday to show them what they’re doing.

The Mercer Build allows students to build a home for a family.

President Sarah Abney hopes the faculty will donate to help the cause.

“Because of this, the students get to see what is going on in the Macon community and how this is directly impacting the Macon community through homeowners because they get to personally interact with them,” said Abney.
