Mercer basketball’s Jibri Bryan killed in Macon shooting
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Mercer basketball senior Jibri Bryan was shot and killed Tuesday outside a downtown gas station.
Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones says Bryan was shot in the head around 4 p.m. outside Flash Floods, located at 1194 Forsyth Street.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says the 23-year-old Savannah native was sitting in a white Chevrolet Monte Carlo outside the store when he was shot. Another man was also shot and is at Medical Center, Navicent Health.
Investigators are looking for a white Nissan Sentra, possibly a 2012 model.

Bryan had just entered his last year of graduate school at Mercer and was recently nominated to the AllState Good Works Team.
“Jibri Bryan was a special young man who was a great contributor to our team and did everything that was asked of him,” Mercer coach Bob Hoffman said in a school statement.
“He was important to us in every way. I loved him and cared about him from the very first time he was on our campus. We grew to be very close over the years. Our thoughts and prayers are with his special family.”
