Medical Center pushing for last minute votes for LIVESTRONG project
The program is a part of the LIVESTRONG Foundation Community Impact Project, that brings cancer support programs to communities around the country.
The music therapy program will incorporate music to relax, decrease anxiety, and stress, and enhance wellness for cancer patents and their caregivers. Should they win, officials have plans of putting the programs in the cancer center as well possibly The Children’s Hospital.
The grant winners will be determined through an online voting campaign that ends Friday, April 11, 2014 at 6 pm.
The Medical Center is among the hundreds of organizations up for the award. 39 of those will receive up to $15,600 to implement one of the programs in that area.
