MCCG Anesthesiologist Headed to Georgia Supreme Court to Appeal Wrongful Termination Suit

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A group of Bibb County anesthesiologists who claim they were wrongfully terminated for reporting fraudulent billing practices are taking their case to the Georgia Supreme Court.

The medical whistle blowers worked for Central Georgia Anesthesia Services which had an exclusive contract with the Medical Center of Central Georgia.

According to court documents,the doctors took their concerns about the fake bills to the hospital’s medical affairs vice president. In turn, the hospital canceled its contract and restructured the hospital’s anesthesiology department.

Those Doctors are scheduled to have their day in court on January 7th.
