Mayhem beats Columbus in exhibition game, opens season Friday
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon Mayhem had no trouble finding the net in a 7-1 exhibition win over rival Columbus Saturday.
An announced crowd of more than 2,000 showed up to the Macon Centreplex for the first minor league hockey game there in more than a decade.
The Mayhem, which beat Fayetteville 3-1 in another exhibition game Friday, makes its official home debut in the Southern Professional Hockey League Friday at 7:30 against defending SPHL champion Knoxville.
