Man wanted in Bibb County arrested in Crawford County

ROBERTA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Crawford County deputies arrested a man wanted in Bibb County Monday morning.

Deputies pulled 25 year-old Joshua Chambley over for a tail light violation around 1 a.m. Monday morning on Hwy 80 East near the Knoxville Store. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office said Chambley gave deputies a fake name and birthday. Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies told the Crawford deputy they have an arrest warrant out for Chambley. The Crawford deputy tried to arrest Chambley, but he ran away into the woods. 

Roberta Police Officers found Chambley around 8 a.m. Monday near the Crawford County High School. Chambley is charged with obstructing law enforcement, giving false information to law enforcement and escape.
