Man turns himself in on charges in fatal April shooting in Macon
Deputies say the victim was taken to a hospital before later dying from his injuries.

UPDATE (7/9/2026) A man has turned himself in on charges stemming from the fatal shooting of Jordan Darnell Brown in April, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said 23-year-old Donnie Williams Brown Jr. turned himself in to investigators Thursday at 10 a.m. on arrest warrants related to the April 21 shooting.
Brown is charged with involuntary manslaughter and pointing a pistol at another.
He was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, where he is being held without bond.
The shooting happened April 21 and resulted in the death of Jordan Darnell Brown.
The investigation remains ongoing.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 20-year-old man is dead after a shooting outside at a Macon apartment complex Tuesday night, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say the call came in just before 5:30 p.m. to Waverly Pointe Apartments on Forest Hill Road in reference to shots fired.
When deputies got there, they learned a personal vehicle had already taken the victim to a hospital.
According to medical staff, the victim later died. Deputies identified him as Jordan Darnell Brown.
Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley confirmed his next of kin has been notified.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says the shooting remains under investigation.
