Man shot twice in Baldwin County trailer park

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man was shot twice while standing near some mobile homes in Milledgeville.

According to Baldwin County Sheriff’s Capt. Brad King, 29-year-old John Mathis Jr. has two gun shot wounds to his left leg.

The shooting happened Tuesday around 10:15 p.m., at 105 Harrisburg Road.

The gunmen fired into three mobile homes, King added.

Mathis was taken to Oconee Regional Hospital where he was treated and released.

There were numerous gun shot shells recovered from the scene, said King.

Mathis told investigators he does not know why he was shot, nor who shot him.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.
