MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 42-year-old man pleaded guilty in Bibb County Superior Court Tuesday to malice murder, theft by taking and concealing the death of another, following the 2020 death of Randall Keith Head.
42-year-old Jeremy Bryant was sentenced to life in prison, according to a news release from the Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office.
Randall Keith Head was reported missing on April 27, 2020. He was last seen driving his red Chevrolet Cruze. Three days later, Head’s body was found behind a closed business on Mercer University Drive by two Macon Water Authority employees. He had died from multiple stab wounds to his neck.
Evidence presented in court revealed Bryant was seen on hotel surveillance video parking Head’s car on April 26, 2020, before moving it a hospital the next day. Head and Bryant had been planning a drug transaction, and Bryant was the last person to have contact with Head. A Crimestoppers tip helped investigators locate Bryant, and he was arrested.
“The Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office especially thanks the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office for their work in the investigation of this case and their assistance with the prosecution of it,” the release stated.
