Man recovering after weekend Fort Valley shooting

FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Fort Valley Police Department is investigating a shooting that sent one man to the hospital.

The Fort Valley Department of Public Safety’s Facebook page says officers were dispatched to a home on Tabor Circle Saturday around 4:30 p.m. Clifford Postell, 32, was taken to the hospital because he was shot in the lower torso. He is stable.

Detectives arrested 44-year-old Cornelius Bell for aggravated assault. Officers say Bell lives a few houses down from where the shooting happened.

The Peach County Sheriff’s Department helped with the investigation.
