Man identified after fatal Warner Robins house fire
The Houston County Fire Department is investigating the fire.

UPDATE (8/15/2025 at 9:23 a.m.)The victim, identified as 41-year-old Michael Toole of Warner Robins, was taken by ambulance to Emory Hospital in Warner Robins, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. Next of kin has been notified.
The Houston County Fire Department is investigating the fire. The body will be taken to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy as part of the investigation.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – One person is dead and a firefighter is injured after a house fire in Warner Robins late Thursday night, according to the Houston County Fire Department.
In a news release, the department said Houston County 911 received reports at about 10:41 p.m. of a residential structure fire in the 100 block of Horseshoe Drive. Callers reported heavy smoke and flames and that the resident was believed to still be inside.
Fire crews arrived at 10:46 p.m., confirmed heavy fire conditions and confirmed the occupant was unaccounted for. Despite the conditions, firefighters went inside, located an adult man and brought him out. He was taken to Emory Healthcare in Warner Robins, where he died..
The cause of the fire is under investigation, and the victim’s name is being withheld until family is notified.
According to the fire department, one firefighter suffered minor burns during the rescue attempt. He is being treated at Emory Healthcare in Warner Robins and is expected to be released soon.
