Man arrested for impersonating a Monroe sheriff’s deputy
FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man is in jail in Monroe County for pretending to be a sheriff’s deputy.
18-year-old Joshua Character is accused of making an illegal traffic stop and false imprisonment.
According to a news release, last Friday Character pulled someone over for cutting him off in Forsyth.
After the person asked for a badge number and credentials, Character left the scene.
He’s in the Monroe County jail awaiting a bond hearing.
