Man Arrested for Macon and Warner Robins Construction Equipment Robberies
MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Macon man is in jail after Baldwin County sheriff deputies caught him pawning off construction tools that were stolen from Macon and Warner Robins, that’s according to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.
Captain Brad King tells 41NBC deputies arrested 46-year-old James Earl MaGee on Friday. He says MaGee broke into construction vehicles that were parked overnight at Macon and Warner Robins hotels and stole 15 pieces of equipment.
The sheriff’s office picked up the case when it noticed MaGee was pawning off a large amount of property. Investigators identified one item that was stolen from Macon.
The sheriff’s office is working with Macon and Warner Robins police on this investigation. MaGee is charged with theft by receiving in Baldwin County.
WRPD spokeswoman Tabitha Pugh says the police department has one burglary warrant out for MaGee. Detectives are looking to see if he could be involved in a couple of other cases. Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
No word on how many crimes he may be linked to in Macon.
