Macon man arrested with drugs, stolen gun in car

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Macon man with guns and drugs.

Deputies say they responded to a call about a suspicious car on Log Cabin Drive and Napier Avenue on 2 March 2019 around 4 a.m.

Deputies say when they arrived, they saw a gray Nissan Altima stopped in the road.  They say 25-year-old Kendray Jaimell Walden of Macon was asleep behind the wheel.

Deputies say they saw a pistol sitting near the gear shift. They removed the gun through an open window. That’s when Walden woke up.

Deputies say they told Walden to put the car in park. Then they detained Walden.

Deputies say that the pistol was reported stolen in an entering auto case from 9 February 2019.

While searching the car, deputies say they found the following items:
  • An open bottle of Hennessy
  • Less than an of ounce marijuana
  • one ecstasy pill

The sheriff’s deputies took Walden to Bibb County Jail.  Walden is charged with Possession of Marijuana Less than an Ounce, Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance and Open Container.

Walden was released on an $11,050.00 bond.
