Man Arrested, Charged with Robbing North Macon Publix
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man was arrested Wednesday and charged with robbery after a north Macon Publix was robbed Tuesday.
According to a release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the Middle Georgia Regional Fugitive Task Force located and arrested 40-year-old Daniel Bryan Koon of Macon around noon Wednesday. Koon was staying at the Villager Lodge, located at 5009 Harrison Road.
The robbery at the store, located at 195 Tom Hill Sr. Blvd., happened just after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Sheriff’s investigators obtained photographs of the suspect and the vehicle he was driving during the robbery incident.
After sharing photos with media and the sheriff’s office e-mail update list, someone told the office they spotted the vehicile in the parking lot of the nearby Pet’s Super Market. Sheriff’s Investigators recovered the abandoned vehicle and turned it over to forensics for processing. During the investigation, Koon was identified as the suspect and warrants were issued for his arrest Tuesday evening.
Koon is currently being held at the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, without bond. He also has a Probation Violation hold from State Court.
