Major airline offering trips to Cuba

The skies are open for the first scheduled flights between the US and Cuba today.

JetBlue will fly from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Santa Clara, Cuba today.

This is the first regularly scheduled flight to Cuba from the US since the height of the Cold War.

The inaugural flights were priced at 99 dollars one-way.

Sears is bringing paint back to its stores.

The strong housing market has Sears thinking maybe aiming for the home improvement market will boost sales.

Options will include paint from brands such as Craftsman, Weatherbeater and Easy Living, with prices ranging from $2.49 for paint from Easy Living to $33.99 for paint from Weatherbeater.

The retailer will offer more than 2,400 different colors.

Stocks ended lower as Apple was hit by a tax flap in Europe.

The Dow lost 48 points.

The major indexes though are still within 1 percent of their all time highs.

Chipotle is trotting out two new promotions in September aimed at the younger set.

Kids 12 and under will eat free on Sundays next month if their adult purchases one regular-priced entrée; and high school and college students will get a free drink with their order of an entrée if they show proper school ID.

And teen retailer Abercrombie and Fitch is closing 60 stores as sales fall.

The company says its designs and marketing will now be focused on the shopper’s “best self and inner confidence” and an emphasis on character and not image.

This is a big step for a company that promoted cool and sexy for years.
