Macon’s National Night Out to Spark Community Help

Neighborhood watch and crimestoppers are two ways for every citizen to actively fight crime. Law enforcement from Macon and BibbCounty met with citizens tonight to bridge the gap between the public and help initiate more community awareness to put crime in its place.

“We’re serving notices to criminals that Macon is probably a place that they don’t want to operate,” said Deputy Chief Mike Carswell of Macon Police

Carswell addressed around one hundred people at city hall joining law enforcement for the national night out, an effort to combat crime with citizen involvement.
