Macon woman hit by car, killed on Pio Nono Avenue

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Macon woman is dead after being hit by a car at the intersection of Broadway and Houston Avenue Tuesday night.

It happened just before 8:30 p.m.

Witnesses say 48-year-old Martha Ard and her son, 25-year-old Christopher Greene were crossing Pio Nono Avenue from the BP gas station to the intersection of Broadway and Houston Avenue.

Ard was hit by 82-year-old David Grant in his 1999 Oldsmobile 88.

Ard was taken to the hospital, where she died at about 10 p.m.

No charges have been filed.
